Unopposed, Chaudhary and Dhameliya elected to lead India's largest dairy cooperative, GCMMF, which owns Amul.
Ashok Chaudhary and Gordhan Dhameliya have been elected unopposed as the new chairman and vice-chairman, respectively, of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which owns the Amul brand.
Chaudhary, currently leading Dudhsagar Dairy in Mehsana, and Dhameliya, heading Rajkot's Gopal Dairy, will serve for 2.5 years.
GCMMF, with a turnover of over $11 billion, is India's largest dairy cooperative, supporting nearly 3.6 million farmers.
