Mosul International Airport reopens, set to handle 630K passengers annually post-ISIL destruction.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has reopened Mosul International Airport, which was destroyed during battles with ISIL in 2014.
The airport, now equipped with a main terminal, VIP lounge, and advanced radar, is expected to handle 630,000 passengers annually and become fully operational for domestic and international flights within two months.
Iraqi Airways will be the first to operate flights from the airport, with plans to collaborate with other international airlines.
