The Lok Sabha, India's lower house of parliament, is implementing a new digital attendance system for MPs during the Monsoon Session, starting July 21. Members will now mark their attendance from their seats using multi-media devices, aiming to improve accountability and reduce time spent in lobbies. Additionally, AI tools will translate daily parliamentary business into 12 languages and transcribe speeches, enhancing transparency and inclusivity.
