Air India crash probe points to fuel supply switches being turned off shortly after takeoff, killing 260.
Air India CEO Campbell Wilson stated that the preliminary investigation into the June 12 crash of a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner found no mechanical or maintenance issues.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) report revealed that cockpit switches controlling fuel supply were moved to the 'cut off' position seconds after takeoff, shutting off fuel to both engines.
Wilson urged against drawing premature conclusions, and all Boeing 787 aircraft in Air India's fleet underwent checks and were deemed fit for service.
The crash killed 260 people.
