The Pittsburgh Pirates selected Seth Hernandez, a 19-year-old right-handed pitcher from Corona High School, with the sixth pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. Hernandez, recently named the 2025 High School Gatorade National Player of the Year, had a standout senior season with a 0.39 ERA, 105 strikeouts, and only seven walks. His teammate, infielder Billy Carlson, was picked 10th by the Chicago White Sox.
