On July 14, 2025, a fire at Gabriel House Assisted Living Residence in Fall River, Massachusetts, resulted in nine deaths and over 30 injuries. The building housed about 70 people, and firefighters responded to heavy smoke and flames, rescuing residents from windows. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
