Indian Railways to install CCTV cameras in all coaches and locomotives to boost safety.

The Indian Railways plans to install CCTV cameras in all 74,000 passenger coaches and 15,000 locomotives to boost passenger safety, following a successful trial. Each coach will have four cameras, and each locomotive will have six, with additional cameras at the front, rear, and sides. The cameras will capture high-quality footage even at high speeds and in low light. The railways also plans to use AI to analyze the camera data, in collaboration with the IndiaAI mission.
