A Gitxsan woman erects a tiny home to protest a pipeline at her dog sanctuary in British Columbia.
A tiny home built in Victoria, B.C., by volunteers will be used by Teresa Brown, a Gitxsan woman, at her dog sanctuary to protest against the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission (PRGT) pipeline.
The pipeline, now owned by the Nisg̱a’a Nation and Western LNG, is planned to run from Hudson’s Hope to a terminal north of Prince Rupert.
The project has faced opposition from First Nations groups, including the Gitxsan, who claim the pipeline will impact their traditional lands.
