Thai pygmy hippo Moo Deng celebrated her first birthday at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, attracting fans and boosting ticket sales after gaining worldwide fame on social media. Known as "Bouncy Pork" in Thai, Moo Deng amassed five million followers but saw her popularity decline since peaking last September. The zoo hopes her fame will continue to raise awareness about the endangered status of pygmy hippos, of which fewer than 2,500 remain in the wild.
