India allocates nearly ₹1 billion to aid six states hit by floods and landslides.
The Indian government has approved ₹1,066.80 crore in aid for six flood and landslide-affected states: Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Kerala, and Uttarakhand.
This funding comes from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and is part of over ₹8,000 crore already provided to 19 states this year.
The government has also deployed 104 NDRF teams and provided logistical support, including Air Force assistance, to help affected areas.
