A special tribunal in Bangladesh has indicted the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on charges of crimes against humanity, related to the deaths of hundreds of students during a mass uprising last year. Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan are being tried in absentia as they are in exile in India. The tribunal has requested Hasina's extradition, but India has not responded. The trial will hear the prosecution's opening statement on August 3 and witness statements on August 4.
