A UK public inquiry report reveals that at least 13 individuals may have taken their own lives due to the Post Office scandal, where nearly 1,000 postal workers were wrongly prosecuted or convicted between 1999 and 2015. The scandal, one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in UK history, was caused by faulty Horizon software, leading to wrongful accusations of theft and fraud. Another 59 people contemplated suicide. The UK government has introduced legislation to reverse convictions and compensate victims.
