A UK homeowner was fined £150 for putting his bins out four-and-a-half hours early before leaving for his honeymoon. Leon Wright placed the bins out at 3:25 pm, against Richmond Council's rule of not putting bins out before 8 pm the night before collection. Despite Wright's argument that he had no choice, the council issued the fine, which he plans to contest.
