UK approves £4.8bn Mona Offshore Wind Farm off Wales, set to generate 1.5GW by 2029.
The UK government has approved the development of the Mona Offshore Wind Farm, a £4.8bn project off the coast of Wales.
Developed by BP and EnBW, the wind farm will feature up to 96 turbines and four substations, capable of generating 1.5GW of electricity.
Scheduled to begin operations in 2028 or 2029, it will be connected to the national grid near Llanddulas, Conwy, subject to further licensing.
