Sheriff's deputy and civilian hospitalized after sedan reportedly ran a red light in Philadelphia crash.

On July 6, 2025, a crash involving an unmarked Sheriff's vehicle and a sedan in Center City, Philadelphia, injured three people, including two officers. The Sheriff's deputy and a civilian were hospitalized after the civilian reportedly ran a red light at 16th and Vine streets. In North Philadelphia, an off-duty police officer was also hospitalized in a separate early morning crash. All are expected to recover. The causes of both crashes are under investigation.
