Malaysia cracks down on Singaporean drivers, fining them for permit violations and suspending licenses post-crash.
Since July 1, Malaysia has intensified enforcement at its border with Singapore, fining Singaporean drivers RM57,000 for lacking valid Vehicle Entry Permits.
Additionally, Malaysia is suspending licenses of commercial vehicle drivers involved in crashes until investigations are complete.
If found guilty, their licenses will be terminated.
JPJ has already suspended five drivers and issued 510 notices for seatbelt violations.
