Nehal Modi, brother of Nirav Modi, arrested in the U.S. over $1.7B Indian bank fraud case.

Nehal Modi, brother of fugitive diamond merchant Nirav Modi, was arrested in the US on an extradition request from Indian authorities. Nehal is wanted in connection with the Rs 13,000 crore Punjab National Bank fraud case, accused of money laundering and helping to conceal illicit funds. He faces charges of money laundering and criminal conspiracy, with a hearing scheduled for July 17. Nehal is alleged to have used shell companies and overseas transactions to move funds.
