Since 2011, 171 million Indians have been lifted out of extreme poverty, reducing the poverty rate from 16.2% to 2.3%. The country's improvement is attributed to government initiatives such as PM Jan Dhan Yojana, Aadhaar, Ayushman Bharat, and PMGKAY.
