flag Driver jailed for 15 years for hitting and killing a 2-year-old and leaving his mother in a coma.

A "callous and cowardly" driver, Sharjeel Shahzad, has been jailed for over 15 years after fleeing the scene of a crash where he killed a two-year-old boy, Shehbaz Singh, and left his mother in a coma. Shahzad, who was already banned from driving, was driving a stolen Porsche Cayenne at high speeds when he crashed into a Toyota Auris in Smethwick, West Midlands. He was previously due in court for dangerous driving and had a history of similar incidents. The judge described Shahzad as "dangerous, callous and cowardly" for fleeing the scene.
