U.S. natural gas storage saw a significant rise, but remains below last year's levels.
The EIA reported a 55 billion cubic feet increase in U.S. natural gas storage to 2,953 billion cubic feet as of June 27.
This is 176 billion cubic feet less than last year but 173 billion cubic feet above the five-year average.
Additionally, U.S. crude oil inventories rose by 3.8 million barrels to 419 million barrels, and petroleum stocks increased by 9.6 million barrels from the previous week.
