Campbell River's Kwesa Place, a drop-in center offering showers, laundry, and meals to around 100 vulnerable individuals daily, closed on June 30 after failing to find a new location following an eviction notice. The closure was part of the city's efforts to revitalize the downtown area. The Laichwiltach Family Life Society, which operates Kwesa Place, is searching for a new site and hopes to secure one before winter. They are currently providing services until August 31.
