Volkswagen introduces new plug-in hybrid vans with up to 59 miles of electric range, starting at £54,525.

Volkswagen has launched a new plug-in hybrid powertrain for its Multivan and California camper vans, featuring a 1.5-litre petrol engine and an electric motor with a 19.7kWh battery, enabling up to 59 miles on electric power. It includes a 4Motion all-wheel-drive system and can charge to 80% in 26 minutes. Prices start at £54,525 for the Multivan PHEV and £71,295 for the California PHEV.
