Sikkim's Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has asked for a new double-lane highway to connect Sikkim with West Bengal’s Siliguri town. Tamang met with NHIDCL and highlighted issues with the current Sevoke-Gangtok route, including difficult terrain and weather.
