A Mumbai court has closed a defamation case against former Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik after BJP member Mohit Kamboj withdrew his complaint. The case began in 2021 when Kamboj accused Malik of defaming him and his brother-in-law during a press conference following a raid on a cruise ship. The court acquitted Malik of the defamation charges under IPC section 500, ending the legal proceedings.
