Qatar is boosting its use of renewable energy, especially solar, to reduce emissions and meet growing electricity demand. The country plans to have 4 GW of large-scale renewable power and 200 MW of distributed solar by 2030. Kahramaa, the national electricity and water corporation, launched 'BeSolar' for home solar systems and is expanding its grid and electric vehicle charging network. Qatar also aims for 30% of electricity from solar by 2030, part of its push toward sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint.
