Over 10% of UK parents say their kids want to skip school due to unclean toilets, survey shows.
Over 10% of UK parents report their children have asked to miss school due to concerns about unclean school toilets, according to a survey by charity Parentkind.
The poll also found that 17% rated the toilets at their child's school as unclean, and nearly a third of families have raised concerns with school staff.
Parentkind is urging the government to prioritize funding to improve these facilities as part of plans to enhance the school estate, following Chancellor's announcements of £2.3 billion for fixing classrooms and £2.4 billion to rebuild 500 schools.
