NIA charges 17, including 16 absconders, in 2024 Chhattisgarh CRPF camp attacks by Maoists.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed charges against 17 individuals, including 16 absconders, in connection with the January 2024 attacks on CRPF camps in Chhattisgarh by CPI (Maoist) operatives. The attacks, carried out by around 250-300 armed cadres, injured 12 CRPF personnel. The chargesheet, filed in Jagdalpur, accuses the individuals of recruiting youth, conducting reconnaissance, and establishing a dummy training facility to plan the attack, under various sections of Indian law.
