In San Diego, over 90% of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 135 members authorized a potential strike against Kroger and Albertsons. Meanwhile, in Southern California, 45,000 workers at Albertsons, Pavilions, Ralphs, and Vons stores have also authorized a strike. In Colorado, Safeway and Albertsons workers have rejected a final offer and could strike as early as this weekend. Strikes could disrupt operations during the peak summer season and become some of the largest in modern grocery history.
