BJP leaders protest and walk out over police clashes in West Bengal, seek national inquiry.

BJP leaders in West Bengal, led by Suvendu Adhikari, protested outside the state assembly on June 12th, demanding a discussion on recent clashes in South 24 Parganas that injured 30-35 police officers and destroyed five police vehicles. They also staged a walkout after their adjournment motions were rejected over the Maheshtala and Murshidabad incidents. Adhikari filed a petition in the Calcutta High Court seeking a National Investigation Agency probe and Central Armed Police Forces deployment in Maheshtala.
