A porcupine named Mackenzie was found in a salvaged plane and flown back to her habitat.
A porcupine named Mackenzie was found under the pilot's seat of a salvaged plane wreck that had been transported from Mackenzie, British Columbia, to Kelowna after a three-day journey by boat, helicopter, and trailer.
The young rodent was discovered on May 30 by workers at a salvage recovery company.
Mackenzie was then flown back to her natural habitat in northern British Columbia by Jayson Biggins, a Victoria-based wildlife rescue pilot with over 1,000 hours of flying experience.
