Minnesota cuts elk hunting permits to four for 2025 due to declining elk numbers.
Minnesota's Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has reduced elk hunting permits for 2025 to four, down from ten last year, due to a lower-than-expected elk count.
Applications are open until July 3, with a $5 nonrefundable fee and $288 for the license if selected.
Two hunting seasons are available: September 13-21 and September 27-October 5.
More details are available on the DNR's elk hunting webpage.
