Health officials have issued a public health alert for potentially E. coli-contaminated ground beef sold at Whole Foods stores in multiple states. The affected "Organic Rancher Organic Ground Beef 85% Lean 15% Fat" has "Use or Freeze By" dates of June 19 and June 20, 2025. Though a recall was not issued as the meat is no longer for sale, consumers are advised to discard any remaining packages due to risks of severe illness including dehydration and bloody diarrhea.
