Nursery worker pleads guilty to manslaughter in death of toddler at UK nursery; trial set for 2026.

Nursery worker Kimberley Cookson admitted to gross negligence manslaughter in the death of 14-month-old Noah Sibanda at a Dudley nursery in December 2022. Cookson pleaded guilty at Wolverhampton Crown Court, while nursery owner Deborah Latewood and the company pleaded not guilty to health and safety charges and corporate manslaughter. A trial is scheduled for 2026, and Cookson’s sentencing will follow its conclusion.
