A Grand Traverse County Sheriff's deputy was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after their patrol car was struck from behind and overturned on June 9 in Kingsley, Michigan. The incident occurred while the deputy was responding to another crash. The other driver, a 27-year-old who was uninjured, made a left-hand turn, hitting the patrol car. The crash is under investigation by the Michigan State Police.
