Reviews of unsolved murder cases involving Tina Satchwell and Michael Gaine are being conducted by Irish police.

Garda Commissioner Drew Harris announced reviews of the investigations into the murders of Tina Satchwell and Michael Gaine, whose bodies were not found during initial searches. Tina's remains were found under the stairs of her home in Co Cork over six years after her disappearance, and her husband Richard Satchwell was sentenced to life in prison for her murder. Michael Gaine’s remains were discovered in a slurry tank on his farm two months after he was reported missing. The reviews aim to improve future investigations.
