Renowned Chicago investigative journalist Renee Ferguson, the first Black woman in the city's TV news to hold that role, passed away at 75.
Ferguson, who worked for NBC5 from 1987 to 2008, co-founded the Chicago chapter of the National Association for Black Journalists and won multiple awards including seven Chicago Emmy Awards and a duPont-Columbia Award.
