Fiji's police face funding shortages and officer losses as ministers plan a funding meeting.

The Fiji Police Force is facing budget and retention issues, with Minister for Policing Iowane Naivalurua and Minister for Finance Biman Prasad scheduled to meet to discuss additional funding. The force is losing officers to better-paying jobs abroad, particularly in New Zealand. Additionally, the Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu has received a Commission of Inquiry report and will investigate allegations against the former FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali.
