A hungry wild elephant named Plai Biang Lek entered a grocery store in Thailand, near Khao Yai National Park, and calmly ate snacks including sweet rice crackers, sandwiches, and dried bananas. This is not the first time wild elephants have ventured into human areas in search of food due to deforestation and agricultural expansion. The Department of National Parks estimates there are around 4,000 wild elephants in Thailand.
