Cargo ship catches fire in Alaska waters; Hudson River boat explosion claims one life.

A 600-foot cargo ship, the Morning Midas, with 22 people on board, caught fire 300 miles southwest of Adak, Alaska. The US Coast Guard responded, reporting no injuries. The ship, owned by Hawthorn Navigation Limited and en route to Mexico, is being aided by dispatched aircrews and a cutter ship. Additionally, a boat explosion on the Hudson River in New York resulted in one fatality and is currently under investigation.
