Vietnam is experiencing a booming lychee season, with a record-breaking harvest expected to reach 303,000 tonnes, up 30% from last year. Hung Yen province's egg-shaped lychees have seen a surge in pre-orders, doubling last year's output, while Bac Giang province, a major producer, aims to yield 165,000 tonnes. The fruit's popularity has expanded internationally, with fresh lychees from Hai Duong reaching Paris within five hours of export. Vietnam is enhancing quality and logistics to meet high-value markets' demands.
