flag Three government employees in Jammu and Kashmir were dismissed and jailed for alleged ties to terrorist groups.

The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, has dismissed three government employees, including a police constable, a teacher, and a medical college junior assistant, due to alleged ties with terrorist groups Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. The dismissals, carried out under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution, were done without an inquiry in the interest of national security. The employees are currently in jail. Since taking office in 2020, Sinha has dismissed over 75 employees for similar reasons, tightening vetting processes for new hires.
