Newark Liberty Airport's major runway reopens 13 days early, easing travel disruptions.

Newark Liberty International Airport will reopen Runway 4L-22R on Monday, 13 days ahead of its June 15 completion date, easing weeks of travel disruptions and congestion due to ongoing construction and equipment failures. The 11,000-foot runway, which underwent significant rehabilitation since early March due to signs of wear, will resume regular operations. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will discuss the early completion at a press conference at the airport.
