Indonesia's trade surplus dropped to $160 million in April 2025, its lowest in five years, down from $4.33 billion in March.
This decline is largely due to a 21.84% yearly surge in imports to $20.59 billion, while exports rose by 5.76% to $20.74 billion.
The increase in capital goods imports significantly contributed to the decrease in the trade surplus.
