Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate a Vande Bharat train service from Katra to Baramulla in Kashmir on June 6th. The train, initially planned for April 19th, was delayed due to weather and security concerns. It will offer an alternative to the often-blocked Jammu-Srinagar highway, benefiting Amarnath Yatra pilgrims. The project, costing Rs 41,000 crore, includes the world's highest railway bridge and aims to boost local industries and tourism. Operations from Jammu are expected to start in August or September after station expansion.
