A Garda officer was hit by an e-bike and injured when he tried to stop its riders in Dublin.

A Garda officer was injured and later discharged after being hit by an e-bike in Porterstown Park, Dublin 15, on May 30, 2025. The incident occurred when the officer approached two individuals on the e-bike and instructed them to dismount, but the e-bike accelerated and struck him. The driver and passenger fled the scene. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and camera footage from the area to aid their investigation.
