EVN's revenue and profits soar in first half of 2024/25, despite challenges in renewable energy trading.

EVN, an Austrian utility company, saw its revenue rise by 6.6% in the first half of its 2024/25 financial year to €1,731.1m, driven by higher volumes and prices in its distribution network and from supply companies in Bulgaria and North Macedonia. Despite a decline in renewable energy and natural gas trading, EVN's profit before tax increased by 27.3% to €306.0m, and net profit rose by 25.7% to €250.6m. EVN forecasts a net profit of €400m to €440m for the full year.
