Australian sprinter Lachlan Kennedy ran the 100m in 9.98 seconds, becoming the second Australian to break the 10-second barrier in the event since 2003.
The achievement came at the ABSA Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi, where he beat South Africa's Bayanda Walaza and Kenya's Ferdinand Omanyala.
Kennedy, 21, is part of a promising group of young Australian sprinters and will compete next at the Ostrava Golden Spike meet.
