BLM seeks public input on wild horse management, proposing removals in Nevada and Wyoming.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking public input on wild horse management plans for areas in Nevada and Wyoming.
In northeastern Nevada, the BLM proposes managing between 427-789 wild horses in the Antelope Valley and 472-889 in Antelope Valley West, covering about 2.8 million acres.
In Wyoming, the BLM plans to remove nearly 3,000 wild horses, including rare curly-haired horses, from the Great Divide Basin, Salt Wells Creek, and Adobe Town areas starting July 15, despite pending litigation.
The comment period for the Nevada plan closes on June 29.
