Two pedestrian fatalities occurred in Ireland, one hit by a car near Killeenboy, the other struck by a bus in Dunleer.

A 50-year-old man died after being hit by a car on the N62 near Killeenboy, Offaly, Ireland, late Wednesday night. The road remains closed for investigation, with diversions in place. Gardaí are seeking witnesses and camera footage from the time of the incident. Separately, an 84-year-old woman, Colette Campbell, died after being struck by a bus in Dunleer, Co Louth, and her community mourns her loss.
