Sixth NMPA Indian Open of Surfing kicks off in Mangalore, featuring top surfers amid big waves.
The sixth NMPA Indian Open of Surfing will take place from May 30 to June 1 at Tannirbhavi Eco Beach in Mangalore, Karnataka.
Organized by the Surfing Swami Foundation under the Surfing Federation of India, the event features over 50 top surfers competing in four divisions amidst 10-12 ft waves.
The competition, relocated from Sasihithlu Beach due to weather, is the second stop of the 2025 National Surfing Championship Series and includes noted surfers like Harish Muthu and Kamali P. It also serves as a qualifier for the 2026 Asian Games.
